Blackberries!

It turns out there whole bunches of blackberries growing near some sections of the tram track as it passes through Olivet, as Cricket discovered one day while we were out riding our bikes (the first and last time all four of us rode together in France! It seemed fitting that we went to Parc Floral).

So, in the last few days before leaving Olivet, we went on several blackberry-picking expeditions. Molly really got into the spirit of berry-picking, while Betsy proved to have a somewhat shorter attention span.

We all enjoyed the fruits of our labors, though -- berries on cereal, berries to just eat, blackberry crisp, berries to give away, which led to, amazingly, a whole jar of blackberry jelly made by our upstairs neighbor, Jacques Beaumont. Mium-mium! (that's yum yum to you!)
